If your boiler is older than 10 years then there is a good chance it is not a energy efficient boiler. All new boilers fitted now have to be a ‘A – Rated’ energy efficient condensing boiler, which achieve a minimum of 90% efficiency. In Most cases fitting a new boiler can realistically  reduce your gas bills by about 15%.

Condensing boilers are quite often confused with Combi boilers. All new boilers work on the condensing design to achieve efficiency. However some are of the conventional type where you have a hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard. The other type is a ‘Combi’ Combination boiler which heats the hot water on demand.
